During the pandemic, Khulisa is concerned for the safety of vulnerable young people. For many children, staying at home is simply not safe. Over 60% of our young people rely on a free school meal and just over a third are under the care of social services. When not at school, half of our beneficiaries are exposed to violence and drug abuse at home and are at greater risk of sexual and criminal exploitation.
Khulisa is uniquely positioned to provide emergency support to young people in need. Our qualified therapists are working with schools and local authorities to support the most vulnerable children. Our digital tools also mean we can stay connected to children wherever they are.
