Khulisa are CSJ Award finalists

Khulisa are delighted to have been chosen as  finalists in the 2022 Centre for Social Justice Awards.

The Centre for Social Justice (CSJ) are an independent think-tank working towards giving those living in the poorest and most disadvantaged communities across Britain every opportunity to flourish and reach their full potential. The awards recognise grassroots charities and social enterprises who prove themselves effective at preventing and tackling poverty in the UK. As a finalist for the award, Khulisa has been recognised as a charity tackling the root causes of poverty through our innovative whole school approach to addressing childhood trauma and systemic issues in the exclusion to prison pipeline.

We have supported the policy work of the CSJ on issues around education, especially around preventing avoidable exclusions, and involving the voices of young people who have first-hand experience of school exclusion. We’re honoured to be recognised for our work in this area, alongside other finalists in the sector, and to continue working with them in the future.

The award winners will be announced in November.

Please cross your fingers for us as we wait to hear if it’s good news!
